Neutral gilders mecca is a thin varnish traditionally used for sealing silver, aluminium or metal leaf (imitation gold) in order to prevent it from tarnishing / oxidising.
Manufactured from a traditional recipe dating back to Victorian times, it should be applied directly over the leaf with a soft hair brush, such as the da Vinci series 5076 or 5098 to give the best finish. Build up layers, allowing each layer to dry fully before applying the next.
